1½” Spring Steel. This shim works most universal handcuffs. The shim slides between the ratchet and the pawl of the cuffs to quickly release the locking mechanism. This style is easier to manipulate than straight shims and offers a valuable training aid for the novice. You should never train with cuffs alone, always have some one on stand by with a key in case of problems.
Works ONLY when cuffs are single-locked.
